The beautiful thing about web publishing is that you don't have to sit on a project until every little thing is perfect. You don't have to painstakingly proofread every letter on every page ten times over, because you're getting ready to drop a hundred grand on fifteen skids of catalogs.
The first iteration of this site had some content here that was simply filler. I did make an effort to produce something mildly entertaining, but after I read it a thousand times, I wasn't sure if that's how I wanted to present myself.
Guess what? I changed everything. Kurt Vonnegut Jr. once said of writing, "be merciless on yourself. If a sentence does not illuminate your subject in some new and useful way, scratch it out." So that's exactly what I did to this page.
Unfortunately, I can't go back and do that to all of the other pieces of paper that I've cranked out over the years, but that is the nature of old-fashioned production. This is a new era of communication, and to work effectively in this new medium, one must shake loose from the old bounds. The first step is to embrace the malleability of this medium. If you don't like something, change it. Instantly.
Yet, we must still acknowledge the tried and true ways of getting things done: catalogs, mailers, t-shirts, golf balls. Lucky for you, I've got you covered even for these things. Check out my portfolio for some examples.
